Why did I receive a VAT/Tax invoice from Digital River and a statement invoice from TreviPay? What is the difference, and why am I receiving both?

VAT/Tax Invoice

  • You will receive a Tax Compliant Invoice from Digital River for every completed order, as they are the seller. You will need this invoice for your taxes and purchasing records. It also gives you a complete breakdown of purchased goods and services and any discounts, credits, or refunds.
  • You may have noticed that the amount is due to TreviPay; that’s because TreviPay paid Digital River, and in (enter term days, i.e., 15 or 30) days, you will need to pay TreviPay the amount owned.
  • NEED a copy of your Tax/VAT invoice? Please get in touch with (insert clients name) support team at (add contact info)

TreviPay Invoice Statement

  • For every completed order, you will also receive a TreviPay statement invoice with remittance information and payment details. This has your unique Trevipay statement invoice number that you can reference if you have questions or require support from TreviPay.
  • You will likely need to submit both the Digital River tax/vat invoice and your TreviPay statement invoice to your Accounts Payable team. That provides proof of purchase and tax details and identify as TreviPay as the payment method used. Your Trevipay statement will show the exact value of funds, the Digital River Order Number and clearly state the amount you need to pay and the remittance details.

I am a parent company with many subsidiaries, different legal entities or branches, can I view all my invoices and pay them as one account?

Yes, you can all share one account, but all TreviPay statement invoices will show the business entity and address provided on your application. You simply need to share one account registered to the headquarter and add as many unique users to your account as required.

I have a TreviPay account but can’t use it across the various country e-commerce sites.

You will need to apply and manage a singular account per country, as the underwriting and currency is linked to each country.

Please note: You will need to use a different email address for each country’s application. We know the challenges and inconvenience this can cause and are working to resolve this in the coming months.

How do I review my credit balance and invoices?

Log in to your TreviPay account. Your current available balance, outstanding amount due and past invoices will be available to view and download.

How will I know when my payment is due?

You will receive a downloadable TreviPay invoice statement stating your payment date by email after your purchase. We also email friendly reminders leading up to your payment date. You want to direct these alerts to your accounts payable department, create a new Payer user account in the TreviPay portal and turn on their invoice alerts in the Notifications tab of the Edit User page.

How do I make a payment on my TreviPay Account?

If you currently have more than one invoice open on your account, TreviPay will apply payments based on the remittance advice you provide. If you don’t include remittance with your payment, we will apply payments to the oldest TreviPay statement invoices first so that you are not considered late on older invoices.

How will my payments be applied to the outstanding invoices?
